Developed after years of working with Dr. Andy Pruitt Ed.D., PA of the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine and found only at authorised Specialized dealers, BG FIT (Body Geometry Fit Integration Technology) is a comprehensive fit philosophy created to help cyclists ride faster, longer and in greater comfort, while reducing the chance for injury.
What is a BG Fit? What will the experience be like, what does it entail?

PRE FIT INTERVIEW |

Every fit- whether it's for a novice or experienced cyclist- starts with a brief interview between a trained technician and rider that addresses the individual's injury history, needs and goals.

FLEXIBILITY ASSESSMENT |
|
This evaluation gains an accurate picture of the individual's flexibility and other physical attributes, including assessment of foot structure, knee position, spinal curve, shoulder extension, hip flexion and leg length, among others.

SIDE VIEW |
|
Assessed using the side view of the rider, the goal is to deliver a correct neutral position that's both powerful and comfortable through adjustments to seat height, handlebar height, stem length and cleat position.

FRONT VIEW |
|
Analysis from frontal view to optimize hip, knee and foot alignment for greater performance and balanced power delivery. includes analysis of pedal and shoe placement and squareness on the saddle.

FOLLOW UP |
|
After a week or so, the technician calls to discuss the effectiveness of the adjustments and to answer any other questions or concerns the rider may have. |
Who can be fit?
BG Fit is suitable for any age and level rider wishing to maximise riding comfort, efficiency and performance. The Pre-Fit interview takes into account your riding pattern and style and accomodates and preferences you may have.

What is different from other fit processes?
The BG Fit is medically endorsed and developed by leading sports medicine practitioner, Dr. Andy Pruitt Ed.D., PA of the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine, USA. JT Cycles certified fitters have passed stringent Specialized training and exams to use the data from the fitting process to carefully select from a wide range of Specialized accessories, the most appropriate size, shape, width to accommodate your body geometry.
Can you fit on other brand bikes besides Specialized?
Any brand or type of bicycle can benefit from BG Fit.
How do I arrange a bg fit?
BG Fit is by appointment only due to the length of the process (approx 2.5 hours) and the specialist staff involved.
